The mark is the manufacturer's declaration that the toy complies with the requirements of the law. The rules on CE marking are regulated by the Danish Safety Agency regarding safety requirements for toys etc. The Danish Safety Agency has the overall responsibility, but in matters of chemical and toxicological properties responsibility has been delegated to the Danish Environmental Protection Agency. In Denmark, an association has also been founded, which calls itself the Joint Council for Forming and Hobby Materials (FFFH). FFFH is a trade association for companies that sell modeling and reinforcement materials intended for children (eg liquid paints, finger paints, colored pencils, crayons, children's cosmetics, glues, modeling clay and modeling wax). FFFH has put forward a set of requirements for chemical toys, partly to ensure children's safety, partly to make the market more transparent.
